John and Catherine have both lived in the area for all their lives and have a wealth of knowledge and experience about this wonderful place to live.
Shropshire and the Shropshire Hills have amazing landscape, huge vistas and friendly market towns, all waiting to be explored by visitors.
One of the best things about staying in a local B&B is the wealth of interesting and topical information available, and the chance to live like a local on offer.
John's family have farmed locally for several generations, growing the business with each generation, from a tenanted farm on Lord Bath's estate in the 1890s to over 1200 acres today, which John farms with his sister and 2 brothers.
The farm is still managed along traditional lines, mixed arable and livestock, raising beef for the supermarkets, sheep for the local markets and arable crops for both our own livestock and the global commodity markets.
There is always something to see on the farm
Lambing in the Spring, with ewes and lambs gambolling in the fields around the house, the cattle are out in the fields through the Summer months, the harvest takes place from July to September, weather permitting.
We always love to share our love of the countryside and our rural way of life with guests.
